The motor on the dyno, it really sound strong,

Making progress

Disc brakes install, suspension rebuilt, frame cleaned and painted, firewall and fender pans repaired and painted waiting for the motor

Even trade

I traded the black 56 Mercury for this 1936 Ford P/U
For almost 5 years we have had the pleasure of driving and showing our 62 Chevy, we sold it in March. It was very well received at the shows and a lot of fun to drive, now it's time to let someone else enjoy it.

If one 56 Merc is good, is two better?

I purchased this Merc off Ebay in August from a man in Miami.

I have it for sale on Craigslist

And the work begins

.
A Chinese fortune cookie says " begin, the rest is easy"  we will see, if that's right.

The front bumper is in good shape, but the chrome in showing it age,  I probably will have it rechromed  $$$$.                       It's a hunka hunka metal.

When we removed the fenders it revealed how clean and solid the car is.

I have a new project

In August of last year I purchased a 1956 Mercury off Craigslist from a man who was selling it for his father. They lived in western Kentuckey, since it was off the beaten path, it took a week or so to have it shipped here.
The car has a 79 thunderbird 302 engine with a 2 barrel autolite carb and a automatic overdrive transmission, the car is solid but needs updating, interior, paint and running gear.
