We went to a car show up Rte 26 at Winfield, Sunday June 27. It was extremely hot and humid.
They fire company served a good fried chicken lunch and pancakes for breakfast, which received mixed reviews.

After a lot of hard work and sweat Saturday, Linda and I were able
to make it to the Marley Station's parking lot. We had polish
sausages and cokes for supper and enjoyed a great night with
friends. There is still a lot to do before it is completely done.

My wife Linda has been a big help, she cleans the interior
panels and I install them.

We replaced the right and left door glass channels because the old
one were in very poor condition.

I bought new aftermarket side mouldings, they look good, but were
a pain to work with. I also bought a aftermarket clip package, I could
only use about half of them.

I had to fabricate some of the rocker panel moulding clips.

New deck lid and quarter panel cove mouldings have been installed
by my son David Jr.

Two classics

Ray Lancaster and I discussing the progress.

After it's caulked, we painted the trunk with gray and black speckle paint.

After being scuffed and buffed it's ready for assembly.

We put the Chevy up in the air to caulk and paint the underside.

Ready to be scuffed and buffed.

The Chevy's painted and it really looks good. We chose a 2010 Cadillac and Corvette color that will accent the contours and body lines.

My granddaughter Anslee Knight enjoys the mirror like finish.

In the paint booth as ready as it's going to be.

Ready for the paint booth.
Britnie inspects the work.

Jeff's blocking the body to make sure it's straight.

It's getting there.

With the inner parts painted, the body panels are reinstalled and aligned.

The dash has been painted and reassembled.
Yes, that is me, the hardest part was getting back up.

This should be as far as we have to take it apart, I hope.

Believe it or not it's actually getting pretty close to being painted. The inside of the doors, the deck lid and all the inner edges of the body will be painted, then the doors and deck lid will be put back on the car at which time it will be prepped and painted all over.
